Osteoporosis affects more people than...
But it doesn't have to be your story
Osteoporosis affects more people than many widely recognized chronic diseases, yet it is often under-diagnosed and under-treated. Early identification and appropriate medical management can dramatically reduce fracture risk.
The good news? Osteoporosis is preventable and treatable. With board-certified medical expertise, early intervention can change everything.
At The Bone Health Clinic, care is orthopedic surgeon-led and evidence-based. We specialize in fracture prevention, using advanced imaging, individualized risk assessment, and medical expertise that goes beyond general primary care or coaching-based programs.
Prevent Fractures. Age Successfully.
DXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is the gold standard for measuring bone density. It's a quick, painless, non-invasive scan that uses very low levels of X-rays to determine how dense your bones are.
The scan typically measures bone density at the hip and spine—the most common sites for osteoporotic fractures. Results are reported as a T-score, which compares your bone density to that of a healthy 30-year-old adult.
A DXA scan takes about 10-15 minutes and requires no special preparation. It's the essential first step in understanding your bone health and fracture risk.
| Typical DXA | The Bone Health Clinic DXA |
|---|---|
| Limited views | Comprehensive skeletal assessment |
| Insurance-restricted | Clinically driven |
| Automated reports | Expert interpretation |
| Minimal explanation | Personalized review with you |
Most DXA scans are limited by insurance rules—not by what's best for your bone health.
At The Bone Health Clinic, we perform a clinically-driven, comprehensive DXA evaluation designed to give you the most accurate assessment of fracture risk and bone quality, while providing a consistent foundation for lifelong monitoring.
Because when treatment decisions matter, the quality of your DXA matters.
We take a different approach to bone health—one that looks beyond a single number on a scan. Our care is orthopedic surgeon-led and holistic, integrating advanced diagnostics, medical evaluation, and individualized treatment to address bone, muscle, and metabolic health together.
This integrated approach allows us to focus on fracture prevention while supporting long-term strength, mobility, and independence.
Our providers spend extended time with each patient performing a thorough assessment of risk factors for bone disease and falls. We provide in-house DXA imaging with research-grade equipment and highly trained staff.
We focus on reducing fracture risk through optimized nutrition and supplements, comprehensive fall risk assessment, and targeted exercise programs to address muscular weakness and postural imbalances.
Each patient receives a customized two-year treatment plan. We coordinate with your primary care provider and other specialists to ensure seamless, integrated care.
From your first conversation through your personalized care plan, we guide you through each step with clarity, expertise, and support.

Bone health is shaped early in life—often long before anyone is thinking about osteoporosis. Most people build bone through childhood and early adulthood, reaching their strongest bones (peak bone mass) by their early to mid-30s. After that, bone strength is maintained—or lost—depending on lifestyle, hormones, and overall health.
Osteoporosis is often called a "silent disease" because bone loss happens without symptoms. Many people don't realize their bones are weaker than they should be until a fracture occurs.
Regular weight-bearing activity, adequate nutrition, and early evaluation—especially before menopause—can help preserve bone strength and reduce fracture risk later in life.
"Addressing bone health early can change the trajectory of your health—preserving strength, reducing fracture risk, and helping you age successfully."
Early screening can change outcomes by identifying risk before fractures occur.
